C2) Biography:
History: Elizabeth was born in London, England -- the only child of Weatherby Swann and Mary Bellingham. After her mother's death, Elizabeth was taken to Port Royal, Jamaica with her father, who was later elected to the position of governor in the small, sea-faring colony. Throughout her young life, Elizabeth greatly enjoyed the tales of pirates and thieves, which greatly influenced her idea of romance and excitement. At the age of eighteen, she was taken hostage by the crew of the Black Pearl, an adventure that introduced her to legendary pirate captain Jack Sparrow. Eventually, the royal navy (and humble blacksmith Will Turner) rescued Elizabeth from the pirates... which she wishes had never taken place.
Personality: Elizabeth is very stubborn, determined and eager to prove herself. Living in a society where women are looked upon as symbols of respect and restraint, she is fuelled towards escape. She is curious about the world around her, and occasionally uses her feminine charms to navigate through awkward situations.
